I feel totally exposed but I thought I would show pictures
of myself before and after my daily summer makeup routine. I try to dedicate
5-10 minutes for makeup application in the morning and being a Mom and Full
time worker makes it challenging at times.
I start with my MAC-Fast Response Eye Cream and my Clinique
Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. During the summer I try to stay away from
heavy moisturizers and eye creams because by the end of the day my makeup will
basically side off my face. I really believe that if you start with a great
base, your makeup will last.
Next, I use MAC Prolong Wear Concealer in NC30 under my eyes
and NC42 on my blemishes. I set that with Bare Minerals Matte SPF 15
Foundation. I find using this powder foundation helps to even out my skin tone
and helps mattify my skin.
Now that my skin is evened out, I contour and add a sun
kissed glow using Nars Bronzer in Casino. I use Nars Blush in Orgasm to add
some colour to my cheeks. These two products have been my absolute favourite
for the summer.
Next, I like to work on my brows using Mabelline New York
Define-A-Brow in Medium Brown. This is such an easy product to work with and
very inexpensive.
My favorite step in my makeup routine is eyeliner. I use Mabelline New York Master Precise Liner
in Black. This is a liquid liner and I have been using this every single day
since I bought it. The flow of the product is continuous and the felt tipped
applicator allows you to create very fine lines. I also love how opaque the
product shows with just one pass on your eyes. I love to take my time with my
liner and create a thicker line and I always wing it out. I always curl my
lashes and then apply 2 coats of Mabelline New York One-By-One Volume Express
Water Proof Mascara in Very Black.
Last but not least, I use Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose for my
lips. My lips were always dry until I
bought this product. It gives my lips a
nice light rose colour and it is super moisturizing.
Well that's it and as you can tell from the before and after
shot, it really does make a difference if you take 10 minutes on yourself. I
always feel more confident and polished when I have makeup on. I hope you will
